Reepham Benefice Photography Project

The Reepham Benefice photo project included almost 1,000 images. The four churches making up the benefice were varied and diverse, each having a unique and distinct voice. The focus for St Mary's, Reepham was to capture the lively youth church, during All Age Worship as well as separate children's worship. Images of the wide range of ages within the church were crucial, whilst ensuring separate 'Holy Communion' services were photographed.

For the other churches within the group, the focus changed to capture the 'space', covering architectural features. Salle church, the largest of the four churches (and one of the largest rural parish churches in England) needed to be photographed with a view to support and encourage Tourist Ministry. Visits to the county archives also included photographing ancient church documents (pre-Reformation) to expand the church history pages.

The Reepham Benefice website was voted as one of the Top 10 church websites in 2009. Part of the commendation was the variety of photographs throughout all pages of the site, capturing life within the varied Christian community in rural Norfolk. Time and again we receive comments from prospective clients - the Reepham Benefice seems to draw people towards to the Christian witness within the 7 square mile rural community.
